Friedrich Wall-Mounted Ductless Split Systems

Wall mounted systems cool or cool and heat 1-4 zones with capacities up to 3 tons. Each indoor unit is individually controlled for room-by-room comfort. They mount on any interior wall, including ones without windows.

f you have one or more rooms without exterior walls or windows, a wall-mounted ductless split system will work beautifully. The indoor air handler is sleek, unobtrusive and quiet. You need only a 2” clearance from the ceiling, so you’ll have lots of placement options. All systems come with a remote control, so even units high on the wall are easy to operate. There’s also an optional wired, wall-mounted controller for models over 18000 Btu.

Choose from single-zone cooling models, single-zone heat pumps that cool and heat, and multizone heat pumps that individually cool and heat multiple rooms. All these ductless split models exceed federal energy-efficiency standards, and several models have super-high SEER ratings from 16.5 to 22.0.

Friedrich Ceiling Cassette

Ideal in drop ceilings or other spaces where a flush-mount installation is preferred, ceiling cassettes require 9 ¼” above-ceiling clearance. They have a wired remote that controls up to 16 units individually or by zone.

The indoor air handler mounts completely flush with the ceiling and only the grille is visible. However, a minimum of 9 ¼" of clearance above the ceiling is required, which makes it a great solution for drop ceilings.

Each ceiling cassette has two branch ducts that can be run to adjoining rooms; an additional fan is required for each branch. So if there’s adequate clearance in only one space, a ceiling cassette can still cool and heat up to 3 rooms from a single system.

Friedrich ceiling cassettes have an energy-efficient SEER of 15.0, yet provide up to 2 tons of cooling capacity and over 24000 Btu of heat. They come with a wired, programmable remote that can control up to 16 units individually or by zones.

Friedrich Ceiling Suspended

Three tons of cooling and heating capacity easily conditions larger spaces, and it’s ideal when a wall mount isn’t possible. Enjoy even air distribution and a number of energy-saving features.

his model is ideal for ceiling installations when there is insufficient above-ceiling clearance (less than 9 ¼") for a flush-mounted ceiling cassette, or if you prefer not to have a wall-mounted model for structural or aesthetic reasons.

The indoor air handlers measure 65 ⅜" wide x 9 ½" high x 27 ½" deep and can be positioned anywhere on the ceiling for maximum effectiveness. Operate the unit with the included remote or wire it to an optional wall controller.

Friedrich’s ceiling suspended heat pump provides powerful, energy-efficient zone cooling and heating, with 3 tons of capacity at 14.0 SEER. It’s ideal for large areas like great rooms, workshops, server rooms, offices and additions.

Our universal system can be mounted low on a wall or on the ceiling for ultimate flexibility. It offers multi-zone cooling and heating with capacity up to 2 tons.

In a word: flexibility. A universal system’s air handler can be mounted on the ceiling or low against a wall to achieve the best positioning in each space. All systems come with up to 4 remote controls for easy, individualized operation no matter where the air handler is mounted.

The system provides 2 tons of powerful cooling and heating capacity that fits a variety of residential and light commercial applications. Install it in businesses, residences, garage conversions, guest quarters and offices as an alternative to other room-cooling solutions. With a 15.0 SEER, it’s an energy-efficient, cost-effective way to heat and cool.

This system has an outdoor condensing unit and indoor air handler connected by refrigerant and electrical lines that run through a 3″ opening in an exterior wall. A licensed HVAC technician is required to connect the lines between the indoor and outdoor components.
